Tom Mix (1880 - 1940)

American film actor and the star of many early Western movies.

Tom Mix was a American actor and director who appeared in many Hollywood films during the 1910s and 1920s. He was known for his roles in Western films and was one of the first major stars of the Western genre. Mix appeared in almost 300 films, all but 9 silent, and was a popular performer in the silent period. He was also a skilled horseman and often performed his own stunts in his films. Mix died in a car accident in 1940 at the age of 60.
